What is Enviromaniacs

This site is designed to utilise games to introduce students to various environmental topics whilst also providing strong back end lesson plans that have been developed by teachers for teachers and meet curriculum objectives.

The games cover a spectrum of environmental topics, and provide an entre for students to commence their hunger for environmental awareness. The curriculum based lesson plan provides practical and tangible knowledge to students to enhance what they have learned playing the games.

What is Visy Enviromaniacs?

Visy Enviromaniacs is an online environmental education program for school students between Years 3 to 6 in Australia and New Zealand.

How does it work?

Teachers register their schools and integrate lesson plans into their classroom, encouraging their students to sign up to Visy Enviromaniacs and play games while learning. The students will learn about environmental topics and plenty of educational tips about making the world a better place!

Who is Visy Enviromaniacs for?

Visy Enviromaniacs is aimed at primary school students between Years 3 to 6 in Australia and New Zealand.

It is also a useful tool for teachers to assist running education programs within the class room.

However the games are also open to the community to play, enjoy and learn about the environment.

Is Visy Enviromaniacs safe for my child?: Visy Enviromaniacs is safe as all content is educational and there are no multi-player functions, meaning your child is not communicating with anyone else whilst on the Visy Enviromaniacs site. No personal information is requested from your child and Visy will not make any direct contact other than confirming registration details and re-issuing lost passwords. Contact details are not provided to any third parties and are only utilised for the purpose as detailed above.

Are there any costs associated with Visy Enviromaniacs?: No. It is absolutely free to join and play. The only cost will be to the environment if you donï¿½t play and create a better world.

What are the benefits of my child playing Visy Enviromaniacs?

Students who play the games will learn and have a greater appreciation for the environment through a fun interactive online game.

The games cover a range of environmental topics including recycling, water, packaging, litter and energy.

Will Visy ever contact my child?: Visy will not contact your child for any other reason other than if a request is made to reissue a lost password. The password will be sent to the email address provided upon registration which can be a teacher or parent email address.

By registering your school, you not only get to make your own character, you'll also be able to keep track of your students's scores and even earn rewards for your school.

Education is right at the heart of the Enviromaniacs experience.

Students will be able to play games relevant to topics that they are learning about in the classroom, and compete against other students in their class, and also those of other schools.

Enviromaniacs is a fun, free site with the intention of bringing them a fun educational experience. No personal information from the students will ever be used by Visy, or sold to any third parties. Your child will never be contacted by Visy or any other body associated with Visy, unless requested by the child in an instance of forgetting their password. No marketing or promotional materials will be sent to them.
